Amhara Bank Job Vacancy Announcement July 2023:

Position 1: Junior Facility Management Officer

Qualification: BA in Purchasing, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or any different related fields

Experience: One/1 year of applicable experience preferably in banking industry.

Purpose of the Job: To aid the process of delivering environment friendly and effective facility services in the bank.

Generic Functions:

• Demonstrate the Bank’s code of conduct; embody the Bank’s precise culture and corporate photograph to the public;

• Provide services as per the service stage agreement;

• Contribute to the Bank’s profitability as per the target set;

• Implement timely corrective motion on deficiencies and issues that have been raised or reported specific internal and external regulatory bodies;

• Handle different related generic responsibilities as required.

Specific Functions:

• Assist the process of annual inspection of vehicles, insurance insurance for new vehicles and renewal for existing;

• Assist the outsourced facility services are supplied as per the agreement;

• Avail timely sanitary materials for cleaners and take a look at the proper utilization, monitor and verify the cleaning work is performed appropriately;

Position 2: Portfolio Management officer

Qualification: BA in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Management, and any other related fields

Experience: Three /3 years of relevant Banking experience of which one/1 years on officer position.

Purpose of the Job: To beautify the quality of the Bank’s loan portfolio and the effectiveness of deposit decision making by making sure accurate loan provisioning and availability of up to date credit information for all suitable stakeholders

Generic Functions:

• Provide the concerned organ with timely, relevant, accurate, and complete reviews on the plan performance;

• Implement timely corrective motion on deficiencies and issues that have been raised or reported distinct internal and external regulatory bodies;

• Handle different tasks as requested by his/her supervisor

Specific Functions:

• Properly classify loans as per NBE directive and hold loan provision;

• Review loans disbursed during the month, become aware of deviations from terms of decision; and take corrective action;

• Check loans and advances are repaid as per the terms and prerequisites of the loan contract;

• Ensure the loan provision is accurate maintained for any potential credit losses risk;

• Update mortgage files if there are any changes and periodically prune files;

Position 3: Data Clerk (Contractual basis)

Qualification: Diploma in Secretarial Science and Office Management and any different related fields.

Experience: Two /2 years of relevant experience.

Purpose of the Job: To help in providing swift response to shareholder requests and enquiries by keeping share transaction records and shareholders ‘accounts, allocating dividends, processing the transfer of shares and turning in share certificates.

Generic Functions:

• Provide the required assistance in all activities of the work unit;

• Properly preserve important files/records and avail when required;

• Engage in teamwork, collaboration, and transparency work practices;

• Provide services as per the provider level agreement;

Specific Functions:

Position 4: Attorney

Qualification: LLB in Law or any other related fields.

Experience: Three/3 years of applicable experience preferably in banking enterprise of which One/1 year on officer position.

Purpose of the Job: To handle complicated legal matters and courtroom proceedings related to debt; Handle mortgage litigation cases ; foreclosure instances and criminal cases; appear to all courtroom levels and any tribunals; Identify emerging developments associated with loan defaults that can also affect the Bank; Represent the Bank before courts of regulation and any tribunals.

Generic Functions:

• Participate in developing, reviewing and implementing policies & procedures, graph /budget, performance report of the division;

• Provide offerings as per the service level agreement;

• Contribute to the bank’s profitability as per the target set;

• Engage in teamwork, collaboration, and transparency work practices;

• Adhere to internal control device and risk management software of the Bank;

Specific Functions:

• Represent and/or ensure that the Bank is adequately represented at courts or tribunals in its defenses or in fits against third parties;

• Follow up the implementation of courts and any tribunal orders;

• Follow up and advocate on the defaulting loans and the termination of the legal and equitable title of properties held as collateral;

• Prepare letters to public authorities and to defaulters for the execution of foreclosures activities;

• Handle other related responsibilities as deemed necessary.

Position 5: Manager, Foreclosure and Debt Recovery

Qualification: LLM/LLB in Law or any other related fields.

Experience: Seven/Nine 7/9 years of applicable experience preferably in banking enterprise of which Two/2 years on senior officer position.

Purpose of the Job: To manage debt recovery things to do of the bank through foreclosures and litigation proceedings, and undertaking appropriate dispute contract mechanisms.

Generic Functions:

• Contribute to the bank’s profitability as per the target set;

• Mentor and coach subordinates closer to effective career development;

• Adhere to interior control system and threat management program of the Bank;

• Evaluate the periodic overall performance of his/her subordinates;

• Provide the concerned organ with timely, relevant, accurate, and complete reviews on the plan performance;

• Implement and ensure well timed corrective action on deficiencies and issues that have been raised or pronounced by different inner and external regulatory bodies;

• Take part in the choice making process by forming phase of different panel/committee(s);

• Handle other associated generic activities as deemed necessary.

Specific Functions:

• Translate and put into effect legal strategies, policies, and procedures in coordination with the Director Legal Services;

• Plan, organize, control and coordinate the debt recovery activities of the bank;

• Manage and cope with activities related with foreclosures process including possession transfer of the collateral as per the Bank’s policy and procedure;

• Effectively control court proceedings, institute legal suits, hotel appeals and defend cases to make sure repayment of loans;

• Institute a legal motion or suit and defend the Bank in opposition to claimant before courts of law or any tribunals;

• Ensures that the Bank is accurately represented at courts or tribunals in its defenses or in suits against 0.33 parties;

Position 6: Branch Manager Grade – I

Qualification: BA in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Management, and any other related fields.

Experience: 7 years of applicable experience in the Banking Industry of which 1 year as Assistant Branch Manager/CSM or Relationship Manager or 7 years of applicable banking experience of which at least 2 years as Senior Officer in banking operation position

Purpose of the Job: To acquire sustainable growth and profitability of the Bank through go selling the Bank’s products & services; obtaining & retaining customers, improving patron services and building sturdy customer relationships to maximize resources mobilization efforts; managing universal retail banking operations at the assigned branch.

Generic Functions:

• Prepare /review work plans / budgets of the branch and monitor its execution;

• Embody the bank’s accurate culture & corporate photograph ;
